Southbank Music Productions is an Australian recording, production and musician contracting company offering high quality music services.
We have a local and global network of industry performers, artists, creators and producers that is second to none, and as the needs of each project fluctuate, so do the relevant specialists who join our team.
Our core Production management have an unparalleled experience across the complete process and spectrum of music recording and performance, from classical, instrumental, commercial, choral and music theatre, to movie and digital.
We are also able to offer distribution of your fully mastered recordings for sale, both via digital platforms and in a variety of physical formats to your specification.
Creative
Our resident creative is conductor and violinist Roy Theaker. Having made his first professional recording as a solo artist, at the age of 8 years old (for a Cadburys chocolate TV commercial), he has been involved in the music recording and live performing industry ever since.
For a number of years he was a violinist with the Academy of St.Martin-in-the-Fields - still the most recorded orchestra in history - alongside maintaining an active role in the buzzing London commercial music scene, from the West End to Abbey Road.
More recently, he performs and records as a conductor, soloist or concertmaster with a variety of European, Asian & Australian orchestras.
He has recorded in a vast array of styles for most of the major and independent labels including Sony BMG, Warner, Naxos, Decca, Universal Music, Hyperion, EMI, ABC Classics, Phillips, Nimbus, Marco Polo, Chandos, Parlaphone, Setanta & Columbia, and is delighted to be associated with Southbank Music Productions.
